Lux Aeterna: War Puppets (M&M)

Right, so the War Puppets are up for conversion this week.  You'll notice some powers are broken out into separate entries.  This is because they require slightly more explanation, have a descriptor in brackets, or are a group of effects.


As usual, a * in the Languages talent means that is the native language and is free in terms of points.

Black Waltz

Template Type: Species (War Puppet)
Template Cost: 33pp
  • Abilities: Intellect +2, Presence +2
  • Skills: Expertise (Magic) 4
  • Talents: Languages 1 (Alphed*, Mecian)
  • Powers: Flight 1 (Subtle 1), Immunity 6 (Aging, Starvation, Thirst, Sleep, Suffocation), Shrinking 4 (Innate, Normal Strength, Permanent)
    • Elemental Bolt [Variable]: Ranged Damage 5.  Pick one of the following descriptors for this power when you create the character; Cold, Electricity, or Fire.
    • Unnatural Corpus: Immunity 10 (Necrotic descriptor. Limited to half effect), Weakness 10 (Radiant descriptor.)

    • Red Reign: Enhanced Damage 4 (Triggered 1: Making a successful attack)
    • Unnatural Corpus: Immunity 10 (Necrotic descriptor. Limited to half effect), Weakness 10 (Radiant descriptor.)
  • Complications
    • Bound Garb:  You cannot benefit from any removable armor or worn equipment and must have such things ritually bound to your magical body.

White Hymn

    • Unnatural Corpus: Immunity 10 (Necrotic descriptor. Limited to half effect), Weakness 10 (Radiant descriptor.)
  • Complications
    • Bound Garb:  You cannot benefit from any removable armor or worn equipment and must have such things ritually bound to your magical body.


And because I'd be remiss if I didn't include the custom effect in these write-ups, here's the Weakness effect.  Yeah, I know that Mutants & Masterminds 3rd Edition really wants these written up as complications but I felt like this was needed for the Lux Aeterna material.

Weakness [Defense]

Action: None   
Range: Personal
Duration: Permanent
Cost: -1 points per rank
    This is the inverse of the Immunity effect and uses the rank costs outlined there.
    You suffer double the normal effect from your weakness. For environmental effects, you make checks twice as often.  For other effects, double the effect's rank before determining its resistance check DC, including for things like Impervious.

Flaws

Increased Effect: Each time you take this flaw you multiply your weakness by 2.  That is, you make checks against the relevant environmental effects twice as often and an effect's rank is multiplied by x4 (or x8, x16, etc..) before determining resistance check DC.
