Raising the Legion: Week 6

More paintin's.  And more painting.  Not much to see!
Some of the issues that make it difficult to paint have persisted. The biggest one is a lack of sleep, since it means I end up going to bed early instead of spending an hour or so before bed working on the models.  Truthfully I work on the models far more than 7 hours a week as I go to my local game store to paint for about 3-4 hours at a time, so it's not really a lack of time investment so much as time getting lumped together at the end of the week.

On the bright side, the ten Tactical Legionnaires are at the point where they need to be inspected and touched up before they get their coat of black wash.  This really means they're about three-quarters done and the biggest time sink after the black wash is re-layering the Macragge Blue to clean things up.  After the Macragge Blue, the gold parts are the next biggest time sink.  Then the rivets.  There are so many rivets on the Mark III armor.  But as I showed a few weeks ago, the models don't really look right without the rivets getting dotted.  I suppose it's something about how those tiny silver dots break up the solid colors.

Practically this means that these ten models should be complete by next Wednesday.
